A piece of Australian History...

The Dismissal of the Whitlam Government on November 11, 1975 was the most dramatic political event in the history of Australia’s Federation.

Leigh was in the very thick of it (pictured left with beard) on the steps of Parliament House as the sacked Prime Minister Gough Whitlam presented his famous speech to a huge crowd.
